INFANTA PILAR of Spain has died at the age of 83 today after being admitted to hospital in Madrid this week, palace sources have confirmed.
The Duchess of Badajoz is the sister of the previous king, Juan Carlos who abdicated in 2014. Although details of her death have not been released, she had been receiving treatment for cancer for several months. She had begun treatment for the condition in May last year.
