BREAKING: Royal Mail workers announce another 24-hour strike later this month.
Postal workers at Royal Mail will strike for 24 hours from February 16 afternoon in a long-running dispute over pay.
The Communication Workers Union said today: ‘We have served notice on Royal Mail Group for a 24-hour strike commencing for all shifts starting after 12:30pm on Thursday 16 February.‘For the vast majority of members – the strike day will be Friday 17,’ the union said, adding that posties will walk out for their entire shift that day.
For months, the CWU has been toe to toe with Royal Mail over a laundry list of grievances that include pay and cuts to workers’ terms and conditions.
