Royal Mint launch a new £2 coin - where to buy the commemorative D-Day coins
Commemorative coin collectors may be pleased to hear that there’s a new coin available for purchase. As of today, the Royal Mint have launched a new £2 coin, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The event was seen as a crucial turning point in the Second World War. The new coin was designed in order to pay tribute to those who planned and participated in the operations on June 6, 1944.It was designed by the Royal Mint’s graphic designer Stephen Taylor.
