Royal snub: How Queen differentiated herself from Queen Victoria during coronation

THE QUEEN was determined to differentiate herself from her ancestor and former longest ruling monarch Queen Victoria during her own coronation, according to a newly published biography.

In a 2019 biography of one of the Queen’s favourite designers, entitled ‘Norman Hartnell: The Biography’, the author Michael Pick revealed how the Queen decided to stand out from her great-great-grandmother on her coronation.
