The former New York mayor's creditors have called his attempts to avoid them 'atrocious.'
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is seeking to liquidate his assets on Wednesday, under the objection of his bankruptcy creditors.Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane is set to consider Giuliani's request at an 11 a.m. hearing in New York. On Monday, attorney Rachel Strickland filed an objection on behalf of Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea ArShaye 'Shaye' Moss, two Georgia election workers who successfully sued Giuliani for $148 million.
Strickland wrote that the conversion would reward Giuliani's 'atrocious' behavior and allow him to avoid responsibilities to his bankruptcy committee.'Successfully converting this case would result in the dissolution of the Committee, end the Committee's growing investigation into Mr. Giuliani's assets, and the related near-term threat of discovery sanctions,' Strickland wrote.
