A woman in Shropshire has launched a speed dating service to help people in rural areas find love. Pixie Greatorex, 40, was inspired to start Shropshire Speed Dating after struggling to find similar events in her area. She says the dating scene in Shropshire is not the best and hopes her events will provide a safe and fun way for people to meet someone special.

Pixie Greatorex, 40, took matters into her own hands after hunting for speed-dating events in Shropshire.

Ms Greatorex said the dating scene in Shropshire was "not the best" and drove her to start the business. Clare, who is 50, went to the event last month - she described dating in a rural area as "absolutely shocking." 46-year-old Stefan from Telford said he "won't do anymore" after attending one of the speed-dating events.
