He said there was street fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces and that he believed there were around 4,000 to 4,500 Ukrainian civilians in the city.
“The city is almost destroyed and there’s not a single building that has remained untouched in this war,” he said. “There are completely destroyed districts, buildings and apartment blocks.” A major concern for Ukraine is its ever-dwindling ammunition stocks as the intense war with Russia shows no sign of abating.
