Russia has been recruiting Yemeni mercenaries to reinforce its troops in Ukraine, under false promises of high salaries and safe employment. The recruits were inducted into the Russian military with help from a Houthi-linked company and were sent to the frontlines with little training after being threatened. These actions come as Russia tries to avoid full mobilization by using mercenaries from other countries.

Russia has recruited hundreds of Yemen i mercenaries to reinforce its lines in Ukraine , offering them the promise of high salaried work and Russia n citizenship. Sources claim that these recruits have been sent to the frontlines after being inducted into the Russia n military with assistance from a Houthi -linked company. Many of the recruits were press-ganged into the military under the promise of well-paid careers away from the frontlines.

However, upon arrival, they were threatened and sent to Ukraine with little training. Russia has been avoiding full mobilization by drawing on support from North Korean troops and mercenaries from India and Nepal. The recruitment of Yemeni soldiers seems to have started as early as July, months before North Korean forces were sent to support Putin’s lines. One recruit estimated that his group consisted of about 200 Yemenis conscripted to fight in Russia in September. Some recruits were tricked into joining after signing enlistment contracts they could not read, and were told they would be working in lucrative fields such as engineering. This comes amid growing fears of a potential World War Three scenario
