'This whole episode over the weekend has thrown up so many questions.' Military analyst Sean Bell looks back at the attempted coup by the Wagner Group. Ukraine latest: 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube

With Yevgeny Prigozhin banished to Belarus and his mercenary fighters avoiding prosecution, it remains unclear what will happen to the Wagner Group following its mutinous assault on Russia.

Suggestions have been raised that Yevgeny Prigozhin's move to the close ally of Russia could have been orchestrated by the Kremlin to put the mercenary fighters in a position to launch an attack on Kyiv. Vadym Prystaiko told Sky News:"I do not believe that the forces which Prigozhin is bringing with him to Belarus will threaten our flanks because we were keeping forces strong enough there just for the Russian forces.

Three Kalibr cruise missiles were launched from a submarine in the Black Sea and eight Iranian-made Shahed drones were launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov, it said. "It's very difficult to decipher, given that Vladimir Putin came out looking very weak by the end of Saturday. He started the day declaring that any treason would be punished with the utmost harshness and ended it by giving Prigozhin a free pass to waltz off to Belarus and forgiving any of his troops who had taken part in the mutiny."

Prigozhin's"march of justice" had been aimed at unseating defence minister Sergei Shoigu, with the pair having been engaged in a long-standing feud. Prigozhin, who has been forced to move to Russia under the deal, is yet to comment on the terms of the agreement. At least one person has been injured after Russia launched a flurry of attacks on Donestk overnight, the head of the regional military administration has said.
