Multiple sources allege that issues with sex scenes and the ‘toxic environment’ of the hit TV show prompted the actor’s abrupt exit
Ruth Wilson quit the hit US television drama The Affair due to a “very toxic work environment”, according to testimonies given to the Hollywood Reporter. Wilson, 37, also known for her role as Alice Morgan in the BBC series Luther, left the show due to the frequency and nature of the sex scenes she had to perform, and friction with the showrunner, Sarah Treem, the sources said.
