This has been delayed for nearly two months after the ground floor of the new store went up in flames on January 14, with the area also being without a Post Office since March 4 as the previous branch shut down. The Akhtar family has owned and run several businesses in Rutherglen for over 40 years, including hardware, clothing, and newsagents.She said: “We have been delayed because of the fire, which was really disturbing.
