Gosling performed Swift’s opus about heartbreak, which was allegedly inspired by her breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal, to bid a final farewell to his beloved Ken from Barbie . “I’m here because of my new movie, The Fall Guy, with Emily Blunt!” said Gosling at the top of his monologue. “So don’t worry: I’m not gonna make any jokes about Ken .” But it didn’t take long for him to break his promise. Gosling equated saying goodbye to Ken with going through a breakup.
Gosling and Blunt ended the song together in one last nod to Barbenheimer. “But I just can’t seem to let Ken go/’Cause there we are again back in 2023/It was the Barbenheimer summer/It was just you and me,” the lyrics went. “Drunk on beer, no body hair/Now it’s time to wish it all farewell.” Naturally, Swift loved all of it. “All Too Well !!!” Swift tweeted from her official X account on Sunday night. “Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour.
