Young goalkeeper Ryan Kerr, whose contract with Crusaders expires this summer, is attracting interest from several top clubs in Northern Ireland. Despite being offered a new three-year deal by his current club, Kerr is exploring his options to secure regular first-team football.

A number of clubs are monitoring young goalkeeper Ryan Kerr who has yet to sign a new deal at Crusaders . It is understood Kerr, who comes out of contract this summer, has been offered a new three-year deal at Seaview but is keen to keep his options open as he looks to secure regular first-team football. The youngster featured for the Crues in this season's County Antrim Shield, putting in a number of impressive displays against Knockbreda, Linfield and Larne.

Kerr, who joined the club as a 15-year-old, is viewed as a potential successor to Jonny Tuffey at Seaview, but it appears he could view his immediate future elsewhere as he looks to nail down the number one jersey. It is understood clubs including Premiership champions Larne, Derry City, Bangor and Dundela have been keeping an eye on the teenager. Speaking recently to Belfast Live, Kerr said he would 'love to play at a high level'. He added: 'There has been some interest from scouts. I would love to play in England or Scotland. It is all going on in the background and I am just concentrating on playing for Crusaders. 'I love it here, and to play alongside someone like Jonny Tuffey is brilliant. If I get the chance to deputise or fill his position at some stage, then it would be an honour. I look up to Jonny and admire him so much. he is a true pro and has so much experience. 'His standards are so high in training and they never slip. I also like Peter Schmeichel, he is a big inspiration to me.'
