A jury inquest into the death began at Stockport Coroners' Court last week. The jury was asked to consider whether there may have been 'opportunities that were missed to protect the life of Ryan Lowry'. His widow highlighted concerns over how his killer Ashley Glennon was managed by agencies. Emergency services attended and he was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. After being charged with murder, Mr Glennon pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, a plea that was accepted by the prosecution. He was sentenced in January 2021 to an indefinite hospital order.
