The sun might be setting on the career of one of the NFL’s better tackles.
On Thursday, the New Orleans Saints announced that right tackle Ryan Ramczyk was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, meaning that he is out for the season.
Ramczyk missed the Saints’ final four games in 2023 after exacerbating the cartilage in his knee, officially being placed on injured reserve on Dec. 30. “He just isn’t quite where I was probably hoping he’d be, and really quite frankly, where he was hoping he’d be,” head coach Dennis AllenWith rumors swirling that Ramczyk might never play again, the Saints drafted Oregon State tackle/guard Taliese Fuaga with the 14th overall pick to give themselves a contingency plan.Without Ryan Ramczyk, the Saints will try to lean on first-rounders Taliese Fuaga and Trevor Penning to protect Derek Carr.
