Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has expanded his business empire by buying a majority stake in Wrexham Lager
Ryan Reynolds , the Hollywood A-lister and co-owner of Wrexham AFC, has recently acquired a majority stake in the Wrexham Lager brewery.
Reynolds' net worth is estimated at around $350 million , with his various ventures significantly contributing to this figure. Best known for his role in the Deadpool series, Reynolds reportedly earns nearly £15.4m per film. Reynolds co-founded Maximum Effort, a company involved in the production and advertising of several of his projects, including Deadpool and the Welcome to Wrexham docuseries. In February 2021, Reynolds and Always Sunny in Philadelphia star McElhenney jointly purchased Wrexham for a nominal fee, immediately investing £2m into the club, reports Wales Online.
The club's turnover increased to £10.478m in the year ending June 30, 2023. . Reynolds also holds stakes in password management company 1Password, financial management firm WealthSimple, and Canadian fintech outfit Nuvei Corporation.
