The former Coronation Street star has been a hit with fans on the latest series of Dancing on Ice
The "greatest show on ice" will draw to an end on Sunday as this season's winner will finally be crowned. The last episode is bigger than ever this season as it is the first time four celebrities have competed in the showpiece event.
The 39-year-old was grateful as he managed to overcome his setbacks to book his spot in the final. He said: "Flying into the final!!!! Literally! According to Oddschecker, Ryan is 7/1 to win the show and is the fourth favourite to triumph. Ryan shot to stardom with his role as Jason Grimshaw in Corrie but it remains to be seen what he goes on to do after the show has finished.
"And if I did, it was at the end, but I was so established in there that people just saw me as fixtures and fittings. I never really got that sort of negative criticism."
