The group kicked off their Good Times Tour at Manchester’s AO Arena but had to cancel the second show of their planned performances
S Club star Jon Lee has revealed the real reason the band had to cancel the second show of their much-anticipated reunion tour just hours before they were set to take to the stage. The group kicked off their Good Times Tour at Manchester’s AO Arena on Thursday night .
In a statement posted on Instagram just hours before they were due to hit the stage, S Club - made up of Jon, Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Mera and Tina Barrett - wrote: "S Clubbers, we're beyond devastated to announce that tonight's show in Liverpool has had to be postponed by the venue, due to them having an unforeseen technical issue impacting their power supply and therefore your safety.
The band and the venue then confirmed that the show has already been rescheduled to Monday, October 30. All tickets for the Liverpool show will remain valid whilst those unable to make the new date can request refunds from the point of purchase. "There was a fire in the building, which knocked out some of the electrics, which meant it was completely unsafe for us to allow an audience into the arena. It was not our decision, we were fighting to perform."
