Scott Robertson is utterly convinced Broony is a top level manager and will show it in his next job.
Scott Robertson insists twists of fate conspired to spoil Scott Brown’s time as Fleetwood boss but he’s still backing the Celtic legend to become a success in management.
Brown was dismissed by the League One side earlier this month after taking only one point from their first six games. And Robertson is adamant his old gaffer will make a quick return. He said: “It was a shock for all of the players when the decision was made to change the manager as we’d not had a great start to the season but we hadn’t been playing badly.
“The attention to detail and tactical knowledge he has is unreal and all you can ask as a player is to have clear instructions. That’s what Scott gave us. If anyone looks back at his record in the time he was boss here then they’ll see a list of achievements such as finishing 13th on the table last season which was comfortable given the fact there are a lot of clubs in this league with far greater resources. We also reached the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time in our history.
“After the Charlton game he came into the dressing room as normal and said a few words but it was only later that the club released a statement to say he was leaving and it was a shock. He is highly regarded as a coach down here and I have no doubt he will be in demand when he’s ready to get back into the game. He will show all of the qualities he has to be a success wherever he goes.”
