After a successful Summer League performance with the Houston Rockets, the Kings have signed second-year big man Orlando Robinson.

Free agent center Orlando Robinson has found a new home. As first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Robinson signed a one-year deal to join the Sacramento Kings, which came after a successful outing during the Houston Rockets' Summer League Tournament in Las Vegas.

The second-year big man made the most of his Summer League opportunity with the Rockets. During Houston's 109-91 win over the Washington Wizards on July 15, Robinson had his best game of the Las Vegas tournament, finishing with 22 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks. Robinson is joining the Kings after he played 36 games for the Miami Heat during the 2023-24 season. He played the majority of his rookie year with the Heat's G League team, Sioux Falls Skyforce. The Heat waived Robinson on July 7. Three days later, the former Fresno State prospect who went undrafted in 2023 signed with the Rockets' Summer League team.

Robinson averaged 14.2 points on 58.7 percent shooting from the field and 9.4 rebounds across five games. "I think he will be a sold center," coach Garrett Jackson said after the win. "He does a good job finishing around the basket. I would not say he is explosive. But he is smart around the basket. He does a good job sealing off players and fighting for position. He knows how to get to his spots."
