Saffie-Rose, youngest victim of Manchester Arena attack, 'let down by emergency services', slams dad

The youngest victim of the Manchester Arena attack was carried out on a blood-stained "cardboard poster", said her dad as he blasted the emergency service response to the bombing.

A report examining the failures of the emergency service response to the terror attack is due to be published today and Saffie-Rose's dad spoke said they should be 'ashamed' of what happened. Evidence into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the atrocity was heard in the city between September 7 2020 and February 15 this year.Among the submissions heard at the inquiry, lawyers acting for Saffie-Rose's family said her injuries were potentially survivable.

In response, North West Ambulance Service argued there were no inadequacies in the response to Saffie-Rose that contributed to her death and submitted her injuries were also unsurvivable. Ahead of the publication of the findings of that inquiry, Andrew Roussos spoke out about what happened to his daughter.
