McVitie's have combined two popular snacks
McVitie's is well-known for producing both its popular Chocolate Digestive biscuits and Jaffa Cakes and, at one point or another, many of us will have enjoyed either one of these baked snacks.
However, in a brand-new fusion, McVitie's have fused together these two items, meaning they can now be enjoyed at the same time. Since spotting packets of the new biscuits in Sainsbury's supermarket this week, many shoppers have been sharing their excitement for McVitie's Digestives Jaffa Cakes, with some calling describing them as the "collab we didn't know we needed".
On top of this, the new biscuits also appear to be adding some clarity on the infamous debate of whether Jaffa Cakes are in fact a biscuit or a cake, with shoppers adding the sweet goodie is "definitely not a cake now". Commenting on McVitie's new Digestives Jaffa Cakes on the popular Facebook page Snack Reviews, one shopper, May Li, wrote: "It’s definitely not a cake now.
However, it’s the collab we didn’t know we needed.
"Also sharing their thoughts on the cake-biscuit debate, another shopper, Catherine Amelia, took to Facebook to comment: "They've really gone for the 'is it a cake or biscuit' debate now! " However the new combination appears to be going down well with fans, with many shoppers suggesting that they "need to try" the fusion. On Facebook one shopper, Lisa Bentley, wrote: "We need to try these.
" Another shopper, Rachel Holdcroft, echoed: "I want some! " Other shoppers also shared their excitement for the treats on the popular Facebook page Newfoodsuk, as one shopper, Kristoffer Hendrie, wrote: "Now these loooook goooooooooooooood. " After trying the snacks, one shopper, Andy Alexander, also said on the Facebook page that the Digestives Jaffa Cakes "really are as nice as they sound".
