Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has dropped a major hint about his future on the eve of the clash against Manchester United . Ruben Amorim and Co. go into the fixture on the back of a defeat to Newcastle earlier this week, a loss that leaves the club in 14th place in the top-flight standings. There are 23 points separating United and Liverpool going into the weekend's fixture on Merseyside.
The Reds have often been on the receiving end of Salah's goals in recent years, with the Egyptian scoring 15 goals across his 16 appearances against United. Salah's contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, and, as a result, he is now able to sign a pre-contract agreement to join a club abroad in the summer. Rumours have been swirling about what will happen with Salah's future, and now the 32-year-old has dropped a major hint days before going up against United this weekend. 'The first thing that was on the list was to win the Premier League with Liverpool,' Salah said in an interview with Sky Sports. 'In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always say Champions League. But this is the first time I'm saying I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool.' 'I have no idea,' said Salah when asked for the reason behind his motivation. 'It's probably because we didn't celebrate the one we won in the way we wanted and also, coming back here too, it's my last year in the club so you want to do something special for the city. That was the thing in my head. 'We waited for that title for 30 years or so. So, to win it and it was the pandemic at that time, we didn't really have time to celebrate it in the right way. It's not a nice thing to do, so hopefully we can do it this year.
