Filipino artists and supporters hold the ‘Salamat, PRRD’ thanksgiving concert to express gratitude to outgoing President Duterte at the Quirino Grandstand, Manila on June 26, 2022.
President Duterte and his partner Honeylet Avanceña arrived at the event at 6:39 p.m., prompting the start of the music-filled evening. Throughout the concert, the President enjoyed himself, even singing along when his favorite songs were performed.“Maiksi lang po. Sa sambayanang Filipino: Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo ,” he said — his shortest address throughout his six-year presidency.
Jed Madela performed “You Raise Me Up” and “One Moment in Time” and Dulce sang “Ako Ang Nagwagi” and “Sino Ako.” At the same time, Martin Nievera serenaded the crowd with his version of “What a Wonderful World” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” He also sang Duterte’s favorite song, “Ikaw.”
