The schools says it 'looks forward to welcoming everyone back from their summer break, this week'
Sale Grammar has issued a statement saying it looks forward to welcoming pupils back this week after it was identified as one of two academy-run schools in Trafford affected by potentially crumbling concrete.
The Government says this specific type of concrete has now been classed as an immediate safety risk as it has the potential to suddenly collapse, and schools have been instructed they must take instant action if it is identified. Although a total accurate number isn't yet known, the Department for Education said it had contacted 104 schools fitted with the lightweight building material.
"We continue to prioritise the health and safety of all our school community and look forward to welcoming everyone back from their summer break, this week."
