It is the second time the windows have been smashed in a month
The owner of a salon in a Nottinghamshire town says she feels "vulnerable and targeted" after her windows were smashed by thugs for the second time in less than a month. Two men were filmed using hammers to shatter four panes of glass at the Lash Lounge in Queens Road, Beeston on Tuesday evening.
The 42-year-old was on the way back from the cinema when she found out about the damage. "I couldn't speak, I physically couldn't get any words out, I was in shock to see that this is a targeted attack," she said."I've done nothing wrong, I'm all for the community. I put so much out there and I try to help people."
She estimates it will cost £5,000 to install shutters and has set up a GoFundMe, which you can find here. "GoFundMe makes me cringe. I can't stand them, but if I don't do it, I've got nine girls who won't have a job. A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers were at the scene within minutes and were informed that the unknown offenders had headed towards the town centre. It is believed the offenders were in possession of an implement, possibly a hammer. Police carried out an extensive area search for the offenders but they were not located.
