Samantha Fox , the former glamour model turned pop star, is appearing in court for sentencing today after being charged with a public order offence and being drunk on an airplane. The iconic 80s chart-topper, now 58, known for hits like Touch Me and Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now, was on a flight to Germany when the incident occurred in December last year.
On Sunday evening , she was cleared of assaulting her wife on a BA flight after prosecutors dropped the charge. According to the PA news agency, the charge was discontinued "after changes to the evidence meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction." She was charged by the Metropolitan Police in March with a public order offence following the arrest prompted by her mid-air antics. According to a statement provided to The Mirror by a Met spokesperson: "A woman has been charged in relation to an incident on a plane on Sunday, 3 December 2023. Samantha Fox of Waltham Forest, was charged via postal requisition with a public order offence and being drunk on an aircraft. She will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Friday, 22 March.
