Samsung and Intel showcase slidable PC display
Samsung says “foldables are gone” on PCs.This week Intel is hosting its Innovation 2022 conference for developers in San Jose, California. The two-day event has already seen Intel reveal its latest lineup of silicon, with a new series ofDuring its opening keynote, which you can watch yourself via the video below, Intel also invited Samsung onto the stage. The pair confirmed that they are collaborating on displays, and in particular flexible ones for PCs.
Whether that means that no foldable Samsung notebook is in the offing remains to be seen, but seeing as the likes of Lenovo and Asus have both invested inrecently, this could be the next evolution of flexible displays in the PC market. For now though, it looks like a handful of Asian manufacturers are pushing ahead with the technology.
