Scotland's prominence in the film industry has been growing in recent years, with the country being chosen as the setting for zombie thrillers, superhero epics, high-octane action flicks, and gritty dramas.
That is how revellers at a Bongo's Bingo night at Glasgow's SWG3 ended up partying with Samuel L Jackson in April 2023. The superstar headed to the city while filming crime thriller Damaged, where he plays a Chicago detective who travels to Scotland to link up with a local cop. Bongo's founder Jonny Lacey captioned the video: "Good to have @samuelljackson fly over for the @bongosbingo Glasgow show."
Top news stories today And another partygoer went one step further, offering the Star Wars and Marvel actor to his local. They wrote on Twitter: "Yo @SamuelLJackson saw you in Bongo’s Bingo mate. Come down tae the drum in Shettleston. It’s karaoke night and it’s £3 a pint. First round on me."
