Juan Agudelo netted a goal in the first half as San Antonio FC won 1-0 to move into third place in the Western Conference.

San Antonio FC snapped a run of four games without a win Saturday night by beating Memphis 901 FC 1-0. The game's only goal came in the 26th minute when Juan Agudelo got on the end of a cross from Kameron Lacey and slipped the ball into the lower left corner of the goal. It was Agudelo’s third goal this season, breaking a six-way tie for the team lead in goals scored this season. “It was a big battle against a good opponent,” Agudelo said.

The win over Memphis was also the first clean sheet for San Antonio goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh. McIntosh has filled in in recent weeks for regular starter Pablo Sisniega, who is out with injury. “Kendall made some big-time saves, but it was a total team effort,” Marcina said. “We all know Kendall is a great shot stopper, and he showed it tonight.” McIntosh made saves throughout the night or blocked shots at key moments to help preserve the clean sheet.
