The 31-year-old trans actress from Mexico City as well as the Alamo City plays trans woman Teri, love interest of main character and comedian Richard Gadd.

Netflix show ' Baby Reindeer ' shot to the top of the streaming platform's charts last week with the help of a San Antonio -raised actress. ' Baby Reindeer ' is inspired by the true story of comedian Richard Gadd , who's stalked by an obsessed woman portrayed by Jessica Gunning . Gadd plays a fictionalized version of himself in the limited series alongside actress Nava Mau , who grew up here.

'It felt like the first time reading a character that was written by someone who actually had known and loved a trans woman,' she said. 'There’s a light that I think pulsates out of that kind of vulnerability, and so all of the characters in the story then are cast in that light.' The show was released April 11 and has held a spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 since then with a whopping 13.3 million views.
