TxDOT says on the Northwest Side, the entirety of Loop 1604 at I-10 will be shut down this weekend as crews place beams and prepare to open new lanes.
A Texas Department of Transportation expansion project this weekend is bringing another round of major closures to Loop 1604 and I-10 . From 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Loop 1604 from La Cantera Parkway to Stone Oak Parkway will be closed to drivers on the Northwest Side . Crews will be placing steel beams and preparing for new lanes to open during this weekend's construction.
Drivers can then re-enter I-10 eastbound at the first entrance ramp following the interchange. Drivers on I-10 westbound looking to continue on will exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road after UTSA Boulevard and continue through the Loop 1604 interchange. Travelers can then re-enter I-10 westbound at the first entrance after the interchange. To continue on Loop 1604 eastbound, traffic will exit at Vance Jackson Road onto the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road.
