The top Italian restaurant, based in the city centre, has a new, eye-catching display
The front of San Carlo in Manchester city centre has been transformed into a pumpkin palace to welcome in October.
The famed Italian restaurant group San Carlo - which also owns the Cicchetti, Fumo and Bottega restaurants in the city centre as well as San Carlo Fiorentina in Hale - has extended its empire this year. In February, it swooped to buy celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo's Alderley Edge fine dining Italian restaurant Luciano.
The 164-cover restaurant includes a spacious dining area, thanks to the relocation of the former kitchen, and a Venetian-inspired patterned terrazzo floor throughout. The terrace at the front of the building features a white interior pergola strung with Italian crystal pendant lights, a bespoke Moroccan plaster and marble open flame fireplace, and an abundance of planting.
