CBS 8 is proud to support Alzheimer’s San Diego and promote the 8th annual “Rides4ALZ”, a 108-mile charity motorcycle ride through San Diego County.

All proceeds from the ride will benefit Alzheimer's San Diego and will be used to support people living with dementia, caregivers and to fund research for a cure.”, a 108-mile charity motorcycle ride through San Diego County. On Saturday, June 29, hundreds of bikers will start at San Diego Harley-Davidson at 7:30 a.m. and end their journey with an afterparty at AleSmith Brewing Company at 11:30 a.m.

Father and son, Richard and Rory Boyd, are not just motorcyclists riding for fun, they’re riding for a purpose. "My dad just lost a part of who he was and it was tough to see. It was a shame to see him lose the best tool he had. I've been riding in this event since its inception in order to bring attention to the disease," said Richard Boyd, Rory's father.
