San Marcos police seek help identifying a suspect who burglarized a townhome on May 17 and was caught on Ring camera.

A burglary suspect, described as a Black male in his 20s, was seen fleeing a San Marcos townhome on May 17, and police are seeking the public's help in identifying him based on his description and Ring camera footage. Officers responded to a burglary report around 2 p.m. at The Village on Telluride townhomes, located at 201 Telluride St. A resident told police she found her roommate's backpack containing jewelry on her bed, which was unusual.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his early to mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a lean muscular build and crew cut hairstyle. He was wearing a light gray dry-fit shirt and dark gray jogger pants at the time of the burglary. A Ring doorbell camera captured footage of the suspect attempting to open another apartment door as he fled the scene.San Marcos police are investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to contact the department's non-emergency number at 512-753-2108 or Detective Bennett directly at 512-753-2130.
