The San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus is getting a new second-in command following the recent departure of her undersheriff.Dan Perea will step into the position on July 1, after serving 33 years with the San Francisco Police Department, The Mateo office states that Perea is “aligned with Sheriff Corpus’ vision for the Sheriff’s Office, emphasizing transparency, community engagement and exceptional public service.
