Suspect James McCrindle has been accused of murder, while James Paita is facing a charge of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
Two men have appeared in court after a murder investigation into the death of a woman in Glasgow. Sandie Butler, 40, was found seriously injured in the St Mungo Avenue area of Townhead on 29 October and was pronounced dead a short time later. Police Scotland said officers had been called to a report of a disturbance and subsequently launched a murder investigation following Ms Butler's post-mortem examination.
Court papers said at the time that McCrindle allegedly struggled with Ms Butler and 'struck her to the body with a knife or similar implement'. McCrindle, of the city, returned to the dock on Tuesday where he once again made no plea to the single charge of murder. The accused was remanded in custody with his next court date yet to be confirmed.
