Santander has said it will give eligible customers cashback
Santander has said it will give some UK customers as much as £1,000 in free cash. On Tuesday, the global banking giant said people can get their hands on the money as part of a new Personal Pension - which has been launched to "support savers in retirement".
The new pension offers Santander customers the ability to consolidate all pensions in one place, as well as the option to monitor pension performance through mobile, tablet, or laptop. Within the Santander app, this means customers can view pension balances alongside other Santander products. The pension also gives access to the "Santander Investment Hub", which allows customers to choose from up to 850 funds to invest in - depending on their preferences - as well as "four ready-made Santander investment funds for those who prefer their portfolio to be selected by Santander".
Those who invest in a Santander Personal Pension with the bank before April 25, 2025, may also see up to £1,000 added to their accounts. This is based on a tiered cashback system, with payments made on or before July 1, 2025.
