Sao Paolo was blanketed by thick smoke from Amazon wildfires on Monday afternoon. Drivers making their way around the city were forced to turned on their headlights as the area was plunged into darkness. Satellite images have detected 9,507 new forest fires across Brazil in the past four days alone.
