Saoirse Ronan married her longtime boyfriend Jack Lowden, according to Scottish records obtained by Us Weekly
The four-time Oscar nominee, 30, tied the knot with her Mary Queen of Scots costar and longtime partner Jack Lowden earlier this year, according to the register of Scottish civil marriages records.
News of Lowden, 34, and Ronan's romance broke in December 2018, when the pair appeared together in the movie Mary Queen of Scots in which she played the role of Mary Stuart and he played the monarch’s husband, Lord Darnley. Gossip that they were dating began to swirl that same month. “Am I allowed to ask if you’re going out with the person that everyone thinks you’re going out with?” a reporter for The Telegraph asked in December 2019. Ronan said, “No,” putting an end to the discussion.
Still, rumors persisted, as the Daily Mail shared photos of Lowden and Ronan hanging out together near her London home in 2020, and Lowden was spotted showing Ronan some support after finishing up a stage production of The Tragedy of Macbeth in 2021.
