The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 at South Park Mall in the 2300 block of SW Military Drive, on the city’s South Side., a Macy’s security guard had notified mall security that two people had fled to a parked car with stolen merchandise. That’s when, police say, the security guard then approached the car.
Police said a man inside the vehicle told security to get away, or that he would be shot. The pair fled with the stolen merchandise and have not been found.Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
