SAN ANTONIO — A 19-year-old man was shot dead by San Antonio police after an argument with his partner turned violent in the Medical Center area, according to authorities. responded to an apartment complex in the 2600 block of Babcock Road after receiving a call for a domestic dispute. According to Chief William McManus, when police arrived they saw a 19-year-old man standing over a woman, his girlfriend, and pointing a gun at her.
That man, who hasn't been identified, allegedly shot in the direction of the victim. At that point, McManus said, the officer shot and and hit the suspect. Police Chief William McManus said the preliminary investigation shows the couple were in an argument when the 19-year-old left the apartment to only come back a little while later with a gun.This marks the 12th shooting involving SAPD personnel this year.
