Sara Sharif latest: 10-year-old found dead under blanket in bunk bed, court hears as family accused of murder
The 10-year-old girl was pronounced dead at a property in Woking, Surrey, on August 10 after police received a call to the scene. Prosecutor Amanda Burrows said officers arrived at the scene in Woking and found Sara lying under a blanket. When they pulled the blanket back they found Sara fully clothed in the middle of the bed with her head up and her hands lying on her chest, the court heard.Paramedics were subsequently called to the scene and she was pronounced dead just after 4am.
A post-mortem examination has found the youngster had suffered “multiple and extensive injuries” over a “sustained and extended” period of time.During the hearing, Sharif held his head down as the prosecution outlined the case.Sharif, Batool and Malik were flanked by officers when they appeared in the dock.
