Sarah Storey wins her 38th Para-cycling world championship title in the women's C4-C5 individual road race.
Sarah Storey has beaten Paralympic rival Heidi Gaugain to win gold at the 2024 Para-cycling Road World Championships in Switzerland in the Women's C4-C5 individual time trial.
Storey, 46, completed the 29.9km course in 45 minutes and 25 seconds, finishing 1:36 clear of France's Gaugain to win her 38th Para world title."To hit out the way I did today, I was really chuffed. The course was so much fun," Storey told BBC Sport.In the women's B individual time trial, Ireland's Katie-George Dunlevy, alongside pilot Linda Kelly, were victorious. They finished in a time of 43:14.
It was a British second and third, with Sophie Unwin, alongside pilot Jenny Holl, placing second and Lora Fachie, with pilot Corrine Hall, third.
