Saturday Kitchen viewers were left a tad confused this morning as TV legens Sir Trevor McDonald made an appearance on the BBC show. The iconic broadcaster joined host Matt Tebbutt to discuss his new book, On Cricket, which explores his West Indian heritage and passion for the sport.
Viewers took to X to express their surprise. Why go on a food show if you're not even going to taste what they make for you, Trevor?" one viewer asked, clearly perplexed. "Has Trevor actually tried anything yet?" another enquired. "Sir Trev didn't fancy sauce dribbling down his chin, at least he tried a chip!" joked a third, who added a laughing emoji for good measure.
Later, the audience got to decide between Trevor's food heaven - a succulent roasted halibut with prawn butter sauce - and his food hell, a pot-roasted pork loin with mushroom stuffing.
