The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings Saturday morning as heavy rain came down in Central and Southern Los Angeles County. The flash flood warnings were in effect until 8 a.m. Saturday, with heavy rain tapering to lighter showers in the afternoon. Meteorologist Alex Biston updated rain totals over six hours Saturday, from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.
'Rainfall totals so far, this is over the past six hours we have seen anywhere from one-quarter inch to one-half inch of rain and once it is all said and done, we could see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain for the coast and valley communities,' Biston reported.
