"I couldn’t do anything without help and was unable to function in everyday life. Fundamentally, I couldn’t see the point of living any more." Her husband Wayne Bridge, who was her boyfriend at the time, took her to hospital, and touching on his unwavering support, she writes: "He was my constant, the person who knew me inside out and had seen me at my worst and most vulnerable.Frankie admits she struggled to open up to other patients at first but when she eventually did, she realised so many people had experienced the same feelings, "if not worse" and she felt understood.
