People who invested their full allowance at the start of each tax year since 1999 are £30,000 better off than those who waited to the end of the year, an analysis shows
ByBritons are missing out on potentially thousands of pounds by leaving it until the last minute to use their ISA allowance.
Even an Isa holder investing £1,000 a year since 1999 would be almost £5,000 better off simply by depositing at the start of the tax year. “And while this does ensure they are taking advantage of the tax wrapper given the Isa allowance does not roll over into the new tax year – by leaving it until the last minute they could be missing out on a significant amount of growth.”
