There are three thank you gestures that could land you with a big fine
An urgent warning has been issued to drivers in the UK over saying thank you at the wheel, with motorists warned it could land you with a £1,000 fine.
Although it is considered the polite thing to do, thanking other motorists when they help you out on the road is considered, more often than not, a breach of the Highway Code. And it's a breach of the code that can leave you with a hefty fine and/or points on your driving licence, the Liverpool Echo reports.Of course, you can thank another driver verbally, but the safest bet it seems now it simply to not acknowledge them in the slightest.
