Scary Movie and The Big Gay Sketch Show star Erica Ash has died aged 46 in Los Angeles following a lengthy battle with cancer as her family issue an emotional statement
The actress starred on Fox sketch comedy show Mad TV as well as BET’s reality spoof Real Husbands of Hollywood and was also known for her role in Scary Movie V. It's been reported that she died on Sunday in Los Angeles after a long battle with cancer.
"Erica was an amazing woman and talented entertainer who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live eternally in our hearts. In honor of Erica’s memory, the family asks that any donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or the Breast Cancer Foundation of your choice. We are grateful for the kind expressions of love and support during this difficult time.
Heartbroken A-listers have taken to social media to pay tribute to Erica following the news, with Django star Jamie Foxx writing: "Noooo way. Cannot believe this one. Such an incredible talent. Gone way too soon. RIP Erica." He said: "RIP ERICA. Gone too soon. She was such a great person to work with, full of life and funny and talented," he wrote in the caption alongside a snap of them on the set of the show. "You left a great mark on earth."
